My baby girl is 6 months old and absolutely precious.

I can't believe that Ava is 6 months old. It has gone by sooooo fast. I need to finish her nursery before she is too big for it. She loves to play on the floor and put everythng in her mouth. She is not even trying to crawl. Its so funny to compare Mia and Ava becasue Mia was so determined and was crawling at six months. Ava is so layed back and just chills. She could watch her sister all day. I wish she loved me like she loves Mia. It's really awesome to see her face light up when she hears or sees her sister. If she is upset at physical therapy or the grocery, I just ask Mia to talk to her and she is happy.

So my big girl is thinning out which is a good thing. Chunky is only cute for so long :) She weighed 16 pound 12 onces and is 27 inches tall. She looked great. Because she didn't move her left arm at all for the first two months of her life, she is considerably weaker on that side and is going to take longer to crawl. We are just thrilled she is moving her arm so well and getting stronger. We go to physical therapy once a week and she hates it, but its getting better. The girls are great, but she just does not like them to mess with her. My plan was to put her in a MDO once a week about this time, but I think I will wait a few months. I thought it would be easier to put her in at six months you know second child and all but mommy is not quite ready. I'll keep her away from the snotty babies for now:)

Ava schedule at this point:
- she eats 7 to 8 ozs 4 x day
- cereal and fruit in the morning around 7:15
-fruit and vegtable at night @ 6:00pm
-takes 2 naps a day and 12 hours at night
- she loves bath time, her toys, and her big sister

Summer flew by

Wow! I can't believe it is September already. This past summer really did fly by once we went moved to Mobile. Michael was off the first two weeks of July and then started work. So he worked alot at the end of July and beginning of August, but over the past 17 days he has worked 3 days so that his been really nice. We took a five day trip to the beach for my friend Katherine's wedding and now we are in Atlanta for the Alabama Virginia Tech game. Michael got us a hotel room almost a year ago for this weekend. We just assumed we could find childcare and that he would be off. Luckily it all worked out and we are here. Its so nice to be able to sleep in and lay in bed as long as we want. That is my favorite part about going on trips with just the two of us. Thanks Aunt Kori and Kakki for watching our girls. Hopefully everyone is having a blast.

Ava is 4 months old!!

I can't believe it but my little Ava is already four months old. She weighed in at 14lbs 2oz and 24.5 inches long. She loves to sing and is very loud. She just starting turning over on her tummy to sleep so now instead of her hair sticking up in the back (Jon and Kate plus 8), it sticks up in the front on one side. I don't know which one is funnier. Her hair and blue eyes are still a traffic stopper everywhere we go. I wonder how long that will last (the blue eyes and the response.)

The June Post

So June was a little busy so let me fill you in briefly. Michael worked his last shift as a resident the first week of June. Mia finished swimming lessons and started summer camp. We went to the beach the second week of June and came back for Michael's graduation. We then packed our house and moved to Mobile where we have been for one week.

Oh yeah, Mia is in a BIG GIRL BED AHHHHH - I can't believe it. She loves her room and her bed. I now wake up every morning at 7:20 to a sweet voice and big brown eyes right in my face. It's awesome. Mia really likes the new house and her new yard. Other than the intense heat, everything has been perfect.

Ava is still in her crib but she is out of the swaddle and in a sleep sak. She is growing so fast and laughing alot. She thinks its really funny when I get mad at the dog for whatever reason and say "NO" in a deep voice. She absoultely adores her daddy and his voice. Her head will do a quick turn when she hears him. She is eating 4 times a day, taking 3 naps, and a good night sleep. She is very sweet and really funny. If you haven't met her you are definately missing out. She rocks along with her sister and there daddy. I live with alot of rock stars - lucky me!!

New Orleans without the kids

Michael and I went on our first Adult trip since Ava was born to New Orleans for two nights. It was hard to leave Ava this young but worth it. It's alwasy nice and important to go places with just my husband. We try hard to make sure we are spending time with just each other, and family makes that a whole lot easier. Thank you so much! Mia and Ava stayed with their Kakki and Peepop played with Mia some and I had someone help my mom out when she had them both awake.

Ava's big mother's day present to her mommy

I forgot to mention Ava's big present to her mommy. That would be 9 to 11 hours of sleep at night. I have not wanted to say that she is sleeping through the night until she proved herself but she is has done it every night this week so YAY I have another great sleeper. Now that is the best present ever. I put the girls down at 7:30pm (Ava) and 8pm (Mia) and have the next few hours to spend with my hubby which is awesome.

Happy Mother's Day

I really like Mother's Day. My husband treats me like a princess (more than usual), my sister comes over to help me with whatever I need, and my girls manage to come up with the best gifts, and we always eat good food.

This year Michael got of work aound 8am and came home with tulips for me. I then put him down for a little nap before we went to brunch at the Art Museam, which I am going to miss sooooo much. Its one of the first places Michael took me. Back then, we were just be rolling out of bed ready to eat at 11am. We would eat so much and drink Mimosas. Now it's a bit different. We are up at 7am and at brunch with our two girls and sometimes Aunt Kori and we are done eating an out of there before they serve the mimosa's at noon.

After brunch we came home and Michael gave me the presents from the girls. Mia was really paying attention and found this shirt that Brooke Burke wore on Dancing With the Stars. Hers said "Mommy of 4" and of course mine says "Mommy of 2". Maybe one day I will need the mommy of 4 tee :) Its really cute and very impressive that Mia remembered how much I love Brooke Burke and her mommy wear :) Ava was pretty creative herself. She got me a diaper clutch for when we are on the run, which seems like all the time. I think someone is tying to make me cool or something. I love my gifts and the man that helped pick them out.
